Child Abuse Prevention

Illuminations is a national training and consciousness raising program aimed at stopping child abuse and neglect and improving the quality of services provided to victims and their families. Child Safe is an outreach and educational program for parents, professionals, and other caregivers aimed at preventing and reducing the negative impact of sexual and other abuse on children.

Through our two programs, Illuminations and Child Safe, we offer workshops and consultations to

• reduce child abuse and neglect through deeper understanding and awareness 
• support the treatment of victims, families, and perpetrators, many of whom are victims themselves, by enhancing the skills of caregivers and professionals who care for them
• cultivate systemic change in our community regarding the way children are raised and treated
