Welcome to
My Sister's Place

Allison, a volunteer, (left) welcomes a young mother and her daughter
to My Sister’s Place, a day shelter for homeless women
and their children.

Each morning when My Sister’s Place opens its door, homeless women and their children in Baltimore City know they have a safe and supportive environment where they can spend their day.  We provide shower and laundry facilities, case management, life skills workshops, parenting classes, GED preparation, breakfast and a light dinner.  Even more importantly, we provide the resources and direct services our clients need to begin the transition back to residential stability and self-sufficiency.  Each day is an opportunity to help our clients believe in themselves and explore new opportunities.

“I was homeless and lost, and a stranger showed me the way.  The way to a safe haven, My Sister’s Place.”
Lisa Cole, former client
