Chara House
A Program of St. Vincent’s Center

Chara House is more than just a house. It is a home of hope and healing for eight medically fragile and/or developmentally-challenged infants and toddlers. At Chara House, children receive therapeutic care for health problems and developmental delays while living in a home in Baltimore City. Chara House’s professional multi-disciplinary treatment team provides them with a full array of therapeutic and medical services designed to stabilize and enhance their lives and growth. Families whose children reside at Chara House are encouraged to partner with staff in their children’s treatment and also have the opportunity to be assisted with a variety of services for themselves.

They provide a supportive atmosphere to families, encourage frequent visitation and are strong advocates for reunification when appropriate.
